Bookbug Sessions Bookbug Sessions

What are they?

Free, friendly, fun sessions of songs, rhymes and stories for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their families and carers to enjoy together. Each session lasts around 30 minutes and has been designed to support children’s development while having fun. They take place in a very relaxed environment and are a great opportunity to spend some quality time with your little one, and meet other families.

You don't need to book a space, all our sessions are free drop ins - just turn up!

Why?

Rhymes and songs help your baby’s language skills and are great building blocks for your baby’s future learning. Sharing time singing with your babies, toddlers and preschoolers is a fantastic way to have fun together. And it’s a great place to meet other families. Come along and join in the fun.

Appiness Appiness

With technology becoming a bigger part in everyday life and schools using it as an integral learning tool, 3+ is the perfect age to introduce touch screen technology to tiny hands.

Our 4 week programme shows parents how to get quality digital apps and technology to support their child’s development and encourage lively learning.

If you need advice and guidance about which apps to download, how to set up the right parental controls and how to maximise your child’s screen time to boost their development, Appiness can unlock a whole new world of learning for you and your child to enjoy together.

For more information or to find out when an APPINESS session is taking place near you, please contact: christopher.godfree-morrell@midlothian.gov.uk
